Mr. Brown

I found this photo of Gordon Brown. He is not very popular right now. I've got an idea for a poster with Mr. Brown as the main character.

Watch this space. . .

A day off

I have been doing some boring stuff today... sorting out my room and washing. I then relaxed by watching a couple of programs on the iplayer. One documentary on David Hockney was really good.. he's the most popular living British artist. Like how he combines hi-tech with tradition creating something new. The chinese said: To paint you need three things. Hand Eye and Heart. I believe it is the same for a designer/artist!

The other documentary was on William Egglestone. He was a great photographer capturing something interesting in mundane environments. He also seemed eccentric, really into his guns and woke up his kids in the middle of the night to keep the spontaneous haha, thought that was quite cool. Quite an opposite to the average parent.

His composition is intuitive.. I think I got intuitiveness in my photography as well, i've never really studied it on a formal level. I get a satisfaction by looking through a lens.. it frames what I want to focus on. I get a kick out of a nicely composed image and colour.

I want to know more about the art of storytelling too. . .

U.K Roadtrip

I just finished my degree with an exhibition at the RSA. Friends and family came down and it was nice to see everybody there. The night which was open to the industry was good as well. I met some companies and will now spend some days finding out who to work for/with.

Exciting times, . . I really believe there's a need for good motion designers. The future seems so exciting and I am so happy with my choice of course. It has been a great four years (foundation as well) and it was soo nice to find out that I got a 1st which is the highest grade. This is not something I will brag about but it is at least for myself; a proof that I've been ambitious with my work. It's not even work as such... it's more of a passion and I can keep on discovering and combining my different interests: music, interactivity, communication, meeting people design society and art. The technological advances matter too! Here are some pictures from our English mini-roadtrip

Designed in England. . . yes!
Think this is quite a good photo I took of my Dad. Us swedes are totally OK with wearing pink :)
Somewhere around the cornish coast line, perhaps Dartmouth area. . . we stayed one night in Brixham, I also found a village called Brixton... which was different to London's Brixton indeed. I saw loads of names on streets and villages that are already in London. . . what happened? Also stayed in Padstow, north of Newquay... really nice there.. reminded me of the Swedish westcoast which I strongly recommend.

Car problems? The rental car was leaking, but we figured out that it was condensation from the A/C.

A poor bird who couldn't fly properly because of a plastic bag, i'm myself using organic bags.
