Project TMead
Test from my shoot at Thamesmead. I am planning to make a conceptual shortfilm and learn some new techniques along the way such as tracking and integrating 3D and live-action.

Learning C4D
I've been learning dynamics and gravitation in C4D and it's pretty easy once you've got the hang of it.
I've been following tutorials by greyscalegorilla and other video's on youtube.

Leaving College - Getting a job!
So...
It has been a while. I have since last post, made the transition from student to employed designer.
I will create more posts in retrospect with photo's on what I've been up to at Kemistry (my workplace).
I was worried about not getting a job, especially due to the 'credit crunchy crisp' - sounds like a great cereal to me!
Anyhow. I did get a job through one of the two exhibitions I went to.
I was on trial for about 2-3 weeks and then asked if I could get a more permanent position with real salary. I did get an offer back about a week later in the beg of Aug. I then went to sweden for a week, for a short break.
I returned to London employed at Kemistry which I am still very happy about. The ground floor hosts a gallery of contemporary graphics art, illustration and for example - vintage broadcast design. The gallery is changing every 6 weeks, where the opening night is an event in itself with nice people and... free beer. Right in the heart of Shoredich.

A day off
I have been doing some boring stuff today... sorting out my room and washing. I then relaxed by watching a couple of programs on the iplayer. One documentary on David Hockney was really good.. he's the most popular living British artist. Like how he combines hi-tech with tradition creating something new. The chinese said: To paint you need three things. Hand Eye and Heart. I believe it is the same for a designer/artist!
The other documentary was on William Egglestone. He was a great photographer capturing something interesting in mundane environments. He also seemed eccentric, really into his guns and woke up his kids in the middle of the night to keep the spontaneous haha, thought that was quite cool. Quite an opposite to the average parent.
His composition is intuitive.. I think I got intuitiveness in my photography as well, i've never really studied it on a formal level. I get a satisfaction by looking through a lens.. it frames what I want to focus on. I get a kick out of a nicely composed image and colour.
I want to know more about the art of storytelling too. . .
